If you have decided to start a creativebusiness, it can be very very exciting! From getting to be your own boss, creating your brand, finding you niche, connecting to your tribe and wearing several different hats, you have a big accomplishment in front of you and quite the mountain to climb. And I'm already proud of you for taking the first step!
However, somewhere along this crazy journey, you're going to get overwhelmed. LIKE BIG TIME!
Let me help you with some advice, so you can learn from my mistake!

MY BEST PIECE OF ADVICE IS.....create systems in the beginning and STICK to them!
Systems are going to be the lifesaver of your business. Like for real. Creating systems for accounting, editing, blogging, website maintenance, proof reading, just to name a few! There are so many other parts to business than just creating products or services. Even if the system is outsourcing! It's really important and it will help you keep your sanity.
It took me quite a few tries to find systems that worked for me and my lifestyle. But one of my systems for accounting, is I developed a system, for when I book a session I write down the person's name, time, and how much money they are spending IN MY CALENDAR. So the event title on the scheduled date would read "Jennifer Brown, Wedding, $2800"
That way when I went to my spreadsheet for the end of the month, I know exactly how much money I deposited into my business account. This makes things soooooo much easier when it comes to taxes!!
I also have a system for blogging, photo culling and editing, plus numerous others.
If you find your self doing certain tasks in the same order over and over again, that's a system.
Write it down, add to it and create a system to follow. That way you're as consistent as possible and being consistent always pays off in the end.
I hope this was helpful and you're going to great things with your business!
